By becoming a member you will receive our Newsletter (Fossil News) every three months by snail mail or see the latest news, articles and field trip information by logging in to the Newsletter area. There is also a section for childres to download some cool stuff.
Instructions to download a membership form:
You can download the membership form by clicking the Membership Form button above. The form is an Adobe Acrobat pdf file and requires Adobe Acrobat Reader to read it. Acrobat Reader is available FREE from Adobe. Click the Adobe logo to download your free copy of Acrobat Reader.
To print the Membership Form, select from the menu "File", and then "Print".
Unfortunately we can not accept payment online. So please mail your cheque or postal money order together with the Membership form to:

Subscription:
Fees are due for renewal on June 1st each year. New members joining after April 1st are financial until May 1st of the following year. For rates outside Australia, please email or write to the above address.
Membership Single $30 Family $40Please Note: Oversea mambership will attract extra postage and handling fees.
New Zealand - for 4 issues $20.00
Europe/USA - for 4 issues $30.00
Insurance:
Personal accident insurance is compulsory for all members at $3.50 per member..
If you are a member of another lapidary, gem or mineral club and pay insurance there you will already be covered.
Please contact trip Leader at least 2 wks. before a field trip. If it is a LONG WEEKEND TRIP, at least 3wks before so that arrangements can be made. If numbers are insufficient trips may be cancelled. If there is any question due to weather conditions please phone Elvie 45-723484 or Elvie's mobile 0417 477 885.Members should plan to arrive at the meeting locations well before the given departure times, which will be strictly adhered to. If you are unavoidably detained/delayed then contact Elvie on her mobile so special arrangements can be made.
SAFETY SUGGESTIONS.
If your travelling on your own, can you arrange to give a contact Number of family/friend in case of accident.
ALWAYS remember to bring hard-hat if we are going into a quarry Re insurance cover.
Always bring extra fresh water with you.
Carry a small personal first aid kit/bag.
The Club always has a FIRST AID kit available - people do move around & Become separated sometimes through the day.
FIELD TRIPS:
Note: No visitors on field trips. The trip organiser and designated officers are in charge at all times and given instructions must be adhered to. MEETING TIMES AND PLACES WILL BE ADVISED WHEN YOU REGISTER FOR EACH TRIP.
MOST IMPORTANT NOTICE * *
AT THE END OF THE DAY AND YOU ARE LEAVING THE FIELD SITE PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS ALWAYS A COUPLE OF CARS THAT ARE LEFT TOGETHER. NEVER LEAVE A SITE LEAVING SOMEBODY ON THEIR OWN.
PEOPLE HAVE BEEN LEFT LOCKED IN QUARRIES.
